This is such a simple which you can use instead of shop brought cakes. You can make this as an occassional treat.o |
Raw Apple Pie
For Crust 1/2 cup of sesame seeds
1 cup of almonds
1/2 cup of pitted dates
1 tbsp warm water
2 tbsp of olive or flaxseed oil
Blend all crust ingredients in a blender. (use the little grinder attachment that comes with most blenders, with the flat blades lying flat near the bottom or a food processor with an s blade). then press into a pie/fln dish and flatten down.
Filling:
2 apples (peeled and thinly sliced) 1 unpeeled or sliced
1/2 avocado
1/2 mango
4 dates
1 teaspoon or olive or flaxseed oil
Blend avocado, mango, dates, oil and one of the apples together in food processor with chopping s-shaped blade then spread onto pie crust, Spread the sliced apples on top and then serve. It may be a little messy to serve but don't let that stop you tucking in
Spread the blended fruit mixture on to the crust, and serve. Inspired by The Garden Diet
